A great career development opportunity for an experienced transaction services professional in an award winning corporate finance team.
My client is a leading independent practice who specialise in advising ambitious entrepreneurial businesses. They operate from offices in Henley on Thames in beautiful and friendly surroundings, with excellent transport links into Reading, and in the heart of London near Bank station. Their award winning corporate finance team enjoys a consistent and quality deal flow with an exceptional track record of completing transactions. Their reputation has been recognised by HMT winning numerous awards including ‘Corporate Team of the Year’ and Dealmaker of the Year” at the 2016 Thames Valley Deals Awards and finalists for “Due Diligence Team of the Year”. When recruiting, they look for the right kind of attitude to work and life, the aptitude to learn, develop and take responsibility and obviously for the ability to undertake the range of work they can offer.
Reporting directly to a Partner, the role will involve managing due diligence assignments typically in the £5m to £50m deal size range. Transactions will comprise a variety of private equity and bank led transactions, requiring the production of focused reports within tight deadlines and the provision of added value advice on the overall transaction. The person appointed will be the key contact for the assignment, responsible for supervising and reviewing the analysis of junior team members, provide coaching and actively assist in their development. The role will include presenting and communicating advice on key issues to clients and external advisors at a senior level.
The successful candidate will be a high performer with a strong academic background, qualified ACA/ACCA with at least five years relevant experience within a major accountancy practice or corporate finance boutique. Experience in private UK equity transactions is highly desirable. My client is looking for strong analytical and reporting skills as well as the ability to manage a team to successfully achieve deliverables within tight reporting deadlines. Communication skills will include verbal and written acumen along with the ability to build relationships based on trust with a wide range of people including business owners and senior professionals. Working as part of a small growing team with a strong and consistent deal flow and working closely with highly experienced Partners, there will be the opportunity to gain significant corporate finance experience and a continued career progression.
