CREDIT HIRE DEPARTMENT MANAGER

Salary up to £50k


Hybrid working reporting into Liverpool. Do you have extensive managerial experience in Motor Insurance claims and in depth technical Credit Hire knowledge? If so we would love to hear from you for this highly unusual niche role.

To oversee the effective running of a market leading credit hire department, ensuring the following:

  • Mitigation of indemnity spend.

  • Operational efficiency.

  • Technical competency.

  • Effective leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owner of credit hire performance.

  • Owner of operational performance and capacity planning.

  • Owner of technical competency of department and referral point on large & complex claims.

  • Use MI to understand performance of existing strategies, as well as implementing and measuring new strategies to improve performance.

  • Oversight of internal audit and owner of actions from external audits.

  • Development of team leaders.

  • Management oversight of teams in multiple offices.

  • Horizon scanning/market awareness of legal and regulatory changes impacting credit hire.

Key Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrate an excellent knowledge and understanding of the Credit Hire industry/market, including its legal and procedural development.

  • Excellent understanding of the United Kingdom legal system surrounding claimant and defendant litigation. Including extensive knowledge and understanding of relevant case law their application and implications.

  • Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the ABI GTA and its implications.
