Salary up to £45k


Clark James Insurance Recruitment are looking for an absolute Credit Hire/Mitigation Claims expert with 10 years plus of experience in the Motor Insurance Claims Industry with an in depth knowledge of Credit Hire.


The purpose of the role is to mitigate indemnity spend through supporting the mitigation team technically and strategically. Additionally to understand performance of mitigation strategies both pre and post litigation and work with relevant in-house stakeholders to improve outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a referral point on large or complex credit hire or PI claims.

• Manage a small portfolio of large or complex credit hire claims.

• Build and maintain relationships with high volume CHOs.

• Key link between the Mitigation and Litigation Teams, ensuring both strategic and non-strategic litigation is recorded and fed back to the Operational Team Leaders.

• Regular feedback sessions the wider mitigation team to improve quality and strategies.

• Deliver best practice training and awareness to Mitigation Team.

• Use MI to understand performance of existing strategies, implementing and measuring changes, as well as implementing new strategies to improve performance.


Critical Competencies

• Significant credit hire, PI and PD claims experience and extensive working knowledge of the Pre-Action Protocol, Civil Procedure Rules.

• Persuasive, strong and confident communicator.

• Ability to use own initiative to explore all options to achieve the best outcome for the business.

• Ability to use MI to understand performance and drive improvement.


The role can be fully remote or reporting into one of the companies offices either in the South East UK or the North West UK.
